Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, definitely prepare you party dips, desserts, or any dishes you can refrigerate or warm up easily ahead of time. This allows you more time to enjoy the game and hang with your friends and family.
For a Super Bowl party, plan for 6-8 appetizer servings per person if you’re serving appetizers as the main meal. If you’re also serving a main dish, plan for 3-4 appetizer servings per person. A good formula is 3-4 different dips, 2 finger food options (sliders, wings), 2-3 snack options (crackers, mixes), and 1-2 fresh/vegetable options. For 10 people eating appetizers as a meal, you’d need about 60-80 total servings across all dishes.
I don’t know about you but when I have something salty, I always want something sweet right after. Try and keep an good mix of the two or serve something that has both!
Use slow cookers set on LOW to keep dips, queso, and meatballs warm for the entire game (3-4 hours). For sliders and wings, place them on baking sheets in your oven set to 200°F (warm setting). Hot food stations can use warming trays or chafing dishes. Rotate cold items (like dips with sour cream) back to the fridge every hour and replace with fresh. Most room-temperature items like crackers, cheese balls, and snack mixes don’t need special temperature control.
