Hey there, sunshine seekers! This breezy dip is your poolside pal on any hot summer’s day spent relaxing by the pool. 

Whether you’re chilling in a hammock with a book, or hosting a fabulous pool party, this refreshing and delicious dip is the perfect poolside pal.

Here’s a recipe for one of my favorite healthy dips that add the ultimate splash of flavor to your pool day menu.

It’s perfect for those long, sun-soaked summer days when you are craving light dishes like a fruit salsa and a limoncello lady drink to go with it.

Why You Need To Make Poolside Dip

Is this dip spicy?

The jalapeño pepper does give this poolside dip a bit of a kick, but it’s not overly spicy. If you’re sensitive to heat, you can leave out the jalapeño or use less of it.

What can I serve with it?

  • Tortilla chips, corn chips, pita chips.
  • Raw vegetables like carrots, celery, cucumbers, and bell pepper.
  • Potato chips, kettle chips, sweet potato chips, pork rinds.
  • Crackers, butter crackers, Triscuits, or Wheat Thin.
  • Fresh baguette slices, crostini, or garlic bread.
  • Breadsticks

Can I make it in advance?

If you’re planning to make the dip ahead of time, we recommend making it no more than a day in advance.

This way, it will still taste fresh and delicious when you’re ready to serve it. Just be sure to keep it refrigerated until you’re ready to dig in!

Ingredients Needed

Regular cream cheese – Full fat cream cheese works best or use low fat or fat free.

Ranch seasoning – One packet of creamy ranch dip mix or make it homemade. *recipe below*

Black olives – Sliced black olives are perfect. Substitute black beans or green olives if you prefer.

Corn – I like to use frozen corn but you can use canned or fresh corn.

Bell pepper – A red bell pepper makes a great color contrast. Or substitute green, yellow, or orange for the red pepper.

Jalapeño peppers – Fresh is best for this dip recipe. Seed and finely diced.

How to Make Poolside Dip

First: Combine the cream cheese and ranch seasoning in a medium bowl until combined.

Second: Fold in the remaining ingredients. Chill for 30 minutes for best flavor. Serve with crackers and veggies.

How to Store It

Once you mix it, it’s best to enjoy right after you chill it.

But if you have any leftover poolside dip, you can store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Give it a good stir before enjoying.

Can I freeze it?

The ease of this recipe means you don’t really need to freeze it.

The dairy and raw veggies will lose their texture and become a watery mess.

  • Soften the cream cheese close to room temperature to make mixing the ranch seasoning in easier.
  • To make a skinny poolside dip, use low fat cream cheese or fat free cream cheese.
  • Cut the veggies into pieces that are all the same size for easier eating.
  • Keep all the veggies cold or chill them before stirring into the dip to start the chilling process.
  • Serve it with these fire crackers, a skinny sangria spritzer or a kiwi mint mojito!

Ingredients
