Ingredients Needed
Frozen whipped topping – Use Cool Whip or something similar. Do not use canned whipped cream as it won’t hold.
Marshmallow fluff – Also known as marshmallow creme.
Hot cocoa mix – 2 packets of any instant hot chocolate mix such as Swiss Miss or Nestle. You can also make homemade!
Mini marshmallows – These are optional for garnish. You can also use mallow bits.
Mini chocolate chips – Optional, but not in my house! Chocolate shavings would also be a beautiful garnish.

What’s the difference between miniature marshmallows and marshmallow bits?
Miniature marshmallows are just smaller than large marshmallows and useful in baking and garnishing desserts.
Marshmallow bits (a.k.a. mallow bits) are smaller and chewier in texture than regular marshmallows, but have a similar vanilla flavor. Mallow bits are similar to what you would find in Lucky Charms cereal.
