Air Fryer Frozen Corn Dogs

If you’re like me, you love going to the county fair not only for the entertainment but also (mainly!) for the food.

Popcorn, hot dogs, and of course corn dogs are some of my family’s favorite foods to find at a fair, and while I can make delicious popcorn and amazing hot dogs, my corn dogs haven’t always turned out quite right.

After trying multiple cooking methods, I turned to my Air Fryer, and now we can enjoy crispy on the outside and tender on the inside corn dogs from the comfort of our own home!

This air frying corn dogs recipe is so simple, and takes only 8-10 minutes to have them ready on your plate. While corn dogs are so tasty on their own as a snack, you can make them as part of a bigger meal with Loaded Potato Skins and veggies on the side, or as part of a buffet for your next get together.

To serve corndogs as a snack or appetizer, I usually have pickles on the side too and of course, you can’t forget the mustard!

Why this recipe is awesome

  • Enjoy your favorite fair food at home.
  • No need to wait for them to thaw.
  • You won’t need any oil.
  • The sticks won’t burn!

Ingredients Needed

Corn Dogs – You can use your favorite brand of corn dogs.

Air Fryer – An air fryer uses extremely hot circulating air to cook food quickly. They are many brands of Air Fryer and some have more functionality than others, but I love my COSORI Air Fryer.

How to Air Fry Frozen Corn Dogs

FIRST: Place frozen corn dogs in your air fryer basket.

SECOND: Air fry at 400°F for 8 minutes, shaking or turning half way through, until your corn dogs are heated through.

Favorite Sauces for Corn Dogs

You can’t have corn dogs without condiments. Here are just a few ideas:

How Long do you cook frozen corn dogs in an air fryer?

Regular size corn dogs will take 8-10 minutes in an air fryer at 400°F, but mini sized corn dogs will take less time, around 6-8 minutes.

Make sure you don’t overfill your air fryer to allow space for the hot air to circulate around your food to heat it evenly.

Do you preheat an air fryer?

I would recommend preheating your air fryer for more even and crispy results. Simply turn on your air fryer for 1-2 minutes, with nothing in the basket, right before adding your food to cook it.

I love my air fryer. If you’re not on this Air Fryer bandwagon already, then come aboard! Air frying is a great way to healthily cook foods that could otherwise be deep fried, with similar or better results.

There are endless things you can make in an air fryer, but I love using it to cook frozen foods. It reduces cooking time! Air Fryer Tater Tots are another of my favorite frozen food air fryer recipes, but there are so many more.

Tapas Tips & Tricks

  • Preheat the air fryer for best results.
  • Do not overcrowd the basket. You need air to flow around each dog to get them crispy.
  • Flip them halfway through cooking.
  • If you have just cooked corn dogs, they will be hot so let them cool slightly before taking a bite.
  • To make mini sized corn dogs place them in your air fryer in a single layer, and reduce the cooking time to 6-8 minutes.
