In a heavy bottomed saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Slowly stir in the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips until the chocolate is all melted and has a smooth consistency.
Remove from the heat. Stir and let cool.
Pour into a glass jar or other container with a lid.
Serve immediately with your favorite treat.
Store in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
Notes
Toss in some peanut butter chips for more flavor. You can also stir in a little vanilla extract at the end. I prefer a vanilla bean paste. Add a sprinkle of sea salt if you want a salted chocolate sauce. I love a sweet and salty dessert!
