Ingredients
8
ounces
cream cheese
softened
8
ounces
whipped topping
thawed
8
tablespoons
butter
unsalted, room temperature
1/4
cup
tequila or lime liqueur
1
tablespoon
triple sec
1
cup
powdered sugar
lime zest
for garnish
Instructions
Cream together the butter and cream cheese.
Add the powdered sugar.
Stir in the triple sec and spirit of your choice (tequila/lime liqueur) and stir to combine.
When fully mixed, fold in the whipped topping.
Place in serving dish or store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Serve with salted pretzels.
Notes
Be sure to have the cream cheese and butter at room temperature to make mixing easier.
If you don't use lime liqueur, you might want to add a little lime juice to the dip for extra flavor. The lime zest might not be enough.
I use this
zester
to get the most amount of zest.
For limes that are close to being past their prime, I
zest
and then
juice
them. Store the zest and juice separately in these
containers
in the freezer.
