Air Fryer Pizza Bagels Recipe
Crispy bagels topped with pizza sauce and cheese, air fried until bubbly. Way better than frozen pizza bagels from the store!

Ingredients

bagels
plain, sliced
4
tablespoons
olive oil

pizza seasoning

garlic powder

pizza sauce

pepperoni

mozzarella cheese

Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
Slice the bagels in half and lay them cut-side up in the air fryer basket.
Brush the cut side of each bagel half with olive oil.
Sprinkle with pizza seasoning and garlic powder.
Air fry for 3-4 minutes until the tops start to get toasty and golden. This step is crucial for preventing soggy bagels.
Remove from the air fryer and spoon pizza sauce over the tops of each bagel half.
Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese and top with pepperoni slices.
Place back in the air fryer and cook another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove and let cool for 1-2 minutes before eating.
Notes
oast the bagels first before adding sauce. This prevents them from getting soggy.
Don't skip brushing with olive oil and seasonings. This adds flavor to the bagel itself instead of it being a bland base.
Air fry in batches if you need to. Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket or the bagels won't cook evenly and they will "steam" and get soft.
Use about 2 tablespoons of sauce per bagel half. Too much sauce makes them soggy and messy.
Cook vegetables and meat before adding. Raw vegetables release water and make everything soggy. Meat needs to be fully cooked.
Cut pepperoni into smaller pieces if using regular-sized slices. This helps them fit better on the bagel.
Watch during the last minute of cooking. Air fryers vary in temperature and you don't want burnt cheese.
Let them cool for 1-2 minutes before eating. The cheese is extremely hot straight from the air fryer.
