Cheeseburger Egg Rolls are made with ground beef, chopped onion, dill pickles, and cheese. It's everything you'd expect from a deliciously juicy cheeseburger in a bun but in a perfectly crisp egg roll wrap!
Preheat 3 inches of oil to 375° in a large stockpot or similar deep pan. In a large skillet over medium heat add the ground beef and spices.
Cook until no longer pink and remove from heat. Drain excess fat if desired.
In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the beef mixture, shredded cheese, pickles, and chopped onion. Stir to combine.
Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one of the corners pointing toward you.
Spoon 3 tablespoons of cheeseburger filling in the bottom half center of the wrapper. Fold the bottom corner up and over the filling so that it is mostly covered.
Next, fold the two side corners into the middle so it looks like an envelope. Lastly, brush the top corner with water and roll the wrapper from the bottom up to seal.
Repeat this process with the remaining wrappers.
Fry for 3-4 minutes, flipping as needed, until golden brown.
Once cooked, remove from the pot and place on a wire rack, plate or baking sheet lined with paper towels.
Allow to cool slightly, and serve with our favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Add Worcestershire sauce to the beef while cooking it for a more intense flavored filling.
Use yellow mustard in the beef mixture for an added tangy flavor.
Diced tomatoes or chopped cooked bacon can be added to the filling.
Use a variety of dipping sauces to enhance the flavor.
Add sesame seeds for that "authentic" hamburger bun experience.
Air fryer cheeseburger egg rolls are the perfect after school snack!
Storage and Reheating
Store in an airtight container or covered tightly in plastic wrap in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat egg rolls in the air fryer at 400°F for 1 minute to make the outside crisp again - they may lose crispiness in the refrigerator overnight.
