Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees. Prepare air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
Place wings in a large bowl.
Pour oil over wings and toss to coat.
Add garlic, salt, and pepper to the wings and toss again.
Place wings in air fryer basket with space between to allow air to circulate. Cook chicken wings 25 to 30 minutes (25 minutes for thawed but closer to 30 minutes for frozen), flipping halfway or until the chicken wings are done.
Toss cooked chicken wings in grated parmesan cheese before serving.
Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
Enjoy!
Notes
Preheat the air fryer so the skin doesn't stick to the basket.
For even crispier skin, pat your wings dry and leave them uncovered overnight in the fridge. This helps to dry the skin out even more.
You can toss the wings in garlic and olive oil and then add the cheese at the end like the recipe states, or you can just mix the cheese in the sauce and air fry the wings plain.
Serve the sauce on the side instead of tossing the hot wings in it for those who prefer plain wings or like to do their own dipping.
Make sure to leave space between the wings in the air fryer basket to allow for even cooking.
For a richer sauce, add a little melted butter to the olive oil and an extra dash of garlic powder.
Need a little kick to yours? Add red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the coating mixture.
If you like yours even more done, start with 20 minutes and add a few minutes to the total cook time.
