8ouncescrescent rolls (or 1 can crescent roll dough sheets)
24cocktail sausages
dipping sauces
Instructions
Preheat air fryer to 350F. Spray basket with non-stick spray.
Unroll the dough.
If using the precut triangles, cut each one into thirds (long way to make 3 long strips). If using the dough sheets, cut in half cross way and then into 12 strips on each side for 24 strips total.
Wrap each little smokie sausage with a strip of dough. Be sure to pinch it closed on the bottom.
Continue until all sausages are wrapped.
Place the wrapped sausages in the basket, leaving plenty of room around each one to cook evenly. You will have to do multiple batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Tip: Place uncooked ones in the fridge while the others are cooking.
Cook 5-7 minutes or until the dough is cooked through and golden brown.
Remove and cook remaining piggies until all are done.
Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
Tip when cooking in batches - place uncooked little smokies in the fridge while the others are cooking.
Place pigs with space between for cooking evenly.
For a shiny look to your cooking dough, butter the tops of the sausage rolls around 1 minute before the end of cooking time.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds for a little texture on the outside.
Use a pizza cutter and a cutting board to more easily section the dough.
Place cooked small sausages on a paper towel and let them cool to room temperature before serving.
To keep your air fryer clean, line with a piece of parchment paper. This will also give your crescent rolls a crispier finish.
