This easy cheeseburger sliders recipe is the best thing that I’ve made in the past few months, thanks to its simple ingredients that most people already have at home.
Preheat oven to 350F. Butter or spray (2) 9x13 pans or a large baking sheet (rimmed)
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until it’s starting to soften.
Add the ground beef and spices. Cook until no longer pink. Drain if desired. Remove skillet from heat.
If the skillet is large enough, add the meat and onions back into it. (If not use a large bowl)
Add in the mayo and mustard. Stir to combine.
In the prepared pans, add the bottoms of the slider buns. Layer on the Kraft slices being sure to cover as much of the buns as possible.
Top with the ground beef and onion mixture. Add a pickle slice to each slider.
Top with the shredded cheese. Add the tops of the slider buns and press to get them situated.
Melt the butter in a small bowl. Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Place in the preheated oven and bake15-20 minutes or until the tops start to brown.
Remove and serve.
Notes
Prep the meat and onions ahead of time and store until ready to use. Place in a large bowl and combine with remaining ingredients.
To serve these sloppy joes style, keep your layer of ground beef loose when placing it on the bottom rolls and mix with the shredded cheese.
If you’re a big bacon fan, you can add a slice of crispy bacon right below the tops of the rolls, for bacon cheeseburger sliders.
To stop the tops of your buns from burning, cover with aluminum foil for the first 15 minutes, and bake uncovered for the remaining 5.
A great way to save time on cleaning when making this easy sliders recipe is by lining your baking dish with parchment paper, rather than using cooking spray.
