Being a food blogger is fun but it is a hectic job! Making sure I have Milo’s Cafe Style Tea beside me makes it much easier!
Being that I am not a coffee drinker, makes me an anomaly in my family. I walk to the beat of a different drum and my drink of choice has and will always be iced tea. Even in the Winter months, I have a glass of iced tea with me. Not unlike those that spend lots of money getting their fancy coffee drinks, I get iced tea. Just so happens that getting my iced tea “Fix” is easy with Milos Cafe Style Tea and I can save my money for more important things, like feeding my growing boys.
If you see me out and about, you will most likely see me with an iced tea in my hand. Sometimes I make my own at home, sometimes I pay for it in a drive thru, but most of the time I get Milos Cafe Style Tea. It’s organic and affordable and already brewed for me!
Let me show you how I get through my day with a little help from Milo’s. You thought I was going to say my friends like the song didn’t you?
My day starts at 6:00 when the alarm goes off. I have to get the kids to school so time to drag them out of bed and make them brush their teeth. I feed them, get dressed in my workout clothes, pull the crazy hair into a bun, chug a glass of water and we are out the door.
By 8:30 I have dropped the kids off at school, or prison as they call it, made it to the gym. While on the rowing machine, I make a mental note of the things I need at the store for the day. I try to look as cool as a workout model while gasping and sweating through my exercises and rehydrated with some water.
It is now 9:45 and time for my daily trip to the grocery store. Yes, I go to Walmart EVERY DAY. It’s a curse. Though, around here we refer to it as the “SmallMart” because we have a full-size Walmart and a smaller Walmart neighborhood market. If I ever lived out in the country I think my local Walmart would go out of business. While at the store I grab some Milo’s Cafe Style Tea (Sweet and Light Sweet flavors) along with my other foods. It’s going to be a busy day and I don’t have time to brew my own today. Not too upset about that because Milo’s Cafe Style Tea has no preservatives, additives, or acids and its brewed from Organic tea leaves. Since it is all natural, I found it in the refrigerated section right by the juice and milk. I needed some more milk anyway. Back home and it is 10:15. Time to get to work. Freshly showered, I pour myself a glass of iced tea. If you could see me take that first sip I would look like those people in the coffee commercials that wake up to the aroma of the fresh brewed essential liquid. My body comes back to life and I am ready to get something accomplished. Cool and refreshing it keeps me going all day!
After clearing out my inbox, sending out a few social media messages, and seeing what my friends are doing online (this takes forever because I get sucked into videos and such), it is time to work through my to-do list.
I have to do a photo shoot today for a recipe I have been working on so I gather all the ingredients. My recipe post has to go out in the morning so all the photos have to be done today. Time for more tea! I fill my glass and head to the kitchen. While making my recipe, I am already adding things to my list for the next recipe in my head. I have to keep a small notepad near by for when inspiration hits. Once my recipe is complete, I take a couple of sips from my glass and head to my photo studio. Which is also my dining room table…

Making food look good is not as easy as it seems. I think I spend more time styling a photo than it takes me to actually take a few photos. I try and bring everything I will need into the dining room so I am not running back and forth. I grab my carafe of Milos tea too. Two glasses later, a few beads of sweat on my brow, and my pretzels perfectly placed in the dish, I can get my shots in.
It is now 12:45 and my stomach is rumbling. I drink some tea and eat a few pretzels from the shoot while I am rummaging through the refrigerator. I feel like my kids when I realized there is nothing to eat in there, just ingredients and garnishes. Time to head to the store again. I grab my glass of tea, slap a lid on it, and head to the store. I forgot to take something out of the freezer to thaw for dinner so I need a quick substitute as well.
It’s now 1:50, I’m back home with my dinner groceries, I grabbed a sandwich out for convenience since my kitchen is still a mess from cooking earlier and I didn’t want to make it even more of a mess. I fill my tea glass and sit down. After inhaling my lunch, I have 10 minutes before I need to get in the carpool line to grab the first child from school so I jump on Pinterest and see what is new. I find about 30 recipes for dinners that I want to make but probably won’t get to because I will forget to take the ingredients out of the freezer in time. I add them to my favorite dinner board for later.
After I grab child number one, I drop him off at home to start his homework, I refill my tea glass, grab a snack, and jump back in the car. Time to pick up child number two. After sitting in that carpool line and chatting with the other parents, we make it home. It is now 3:00. I grab a glass of water, some magazines, and our tennis rackets. Tennis lesson at 4:00. I refill my tea glass once again. Sitting at practice is a good time for me to catch up on reading my magazines. I always have a stack that I have to get through so I keep them handy.

5:30 is here and we have finally made it back home. With photos to edit and a recipe to write out, I grab some snacks, what is left of my Milos tea carafe and head to the back patio. Dinner is going to take an hour in the oven so it is a good time for me to catch up with the kids and see what happened at school today. It’s middle school so you know there was some drama. Hearing about their day is much better than any show you can watch on TV. The plots and characters are always more exciting.
After washing the dishes, or really just loading the dishwasher, and wiping down the counters, I pour the last few sips out of my Milo’s carafe into my glass. Time to grab my book, my glass of tea, and head to bed. Tomorrow I have to do it all over again. Thank goodness I can grab another carafe at the store in the morning. I think I will try the Citrus Green Tea to change it up a bit!
