Blueberries are in season! If you don’t have fresh ones yet, grab your frozen ones from the last harvest, your tequila, and your lime, to whip up a Blueberry Margarita!
For the Margarita
3/4 cup tequila
3/4 cup triple sec
3/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 cup club soda/lemon-lime soda
1/4 cup simple syrup
1/2 cup blueberry puree
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Frozen Blueberries, Kosher salt, and Lime Wedges for Garnish
Make the blueberry puree
Combine the frozen blueberries and water in a blender.
Pulse in a blender until all the blueberries are chopped up.
Make the Simple Syrup
Combine the water and the sugar in a small pot.
Heat over medium heat until all the sugar is dissolved.
Chill in the refrigerator until ready to use.
Make the Blueberry Margaritas
Combine the tequila, blueberry puree, triple sec, simple syrup, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker.
Shake until combined.
Pour the soda into the shaker and stir by hand.
Pour into 6 glasses with ice.
Garnish with salt, lime wedges, and frozen blueberries if you like.
